Transaction software, US real estate · AirPulse analysisHow a real estate software vendor gets named in 58% of Perplexity answers
A US vendor of AI transaction-coordination software for brokerages is named in 57.6% of Perplexity answers and 53.8% of Gemini answers to its category questions, and 328 of the 331 answers that name it cite its own pages. Its comparison posts do the work. The next prize is ChatGPT and the 'how to choose' questions.
The challenge
Winning Perplexity and Gemini does not carry to ChatGPT, which named the vendor in 1 of 247 answers. Process questions such as how to choose or automate named competitors in 341 of 385 answers and this vendor in none.
What we found
The play
- 1Keep publishing the category list yourself: the vendor's own 'best tools' posts are cited in almost every answer that names it.
- 2Write evaluation-criteria and how-to content aimed at the exact 'how to choose' and 'how to automate' questions it misses today.
- 3Earn trade-press and review-site coverage, the sources ChatGPT leans on in this category.
- 4Measure ChatGPT separately; a blended score hides a 57-point gap between engines.

How we measured
A US vendor of AI transaction-coordination software for real estate brokerages, tracked on the AirPulse platform. Five category prompts (best platforms, automation software, compliance tools, how to select a platform, automating workflow) ran once a day on four engines with no prompt changes during the window.
5 tracked buyer questions, 50 daily runs, Aug 10, 2026 to Sep 28, 2026, on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews. Published without the brand's name.
- On ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity combined, mentions moved from 38.1% (Aug 10 to 23) to 32.9% (Sep 15 to 28) on the same five questions.
- Tracked on the platform only; no AirPulse engagement work is documented for this brand.
- A Google AI Overview scraper outage from 2026-09-12 to 2026-09-28 cut Google AI citations, so mention rates exclude Google AI. Gemini runs were missing from 2026-09-11 to 2026-09-14 and one run failed on 2026-08-20; the compared windows avoid those dates.
- Prompts ran with a global region, not a specific US location.
- Source categories are assigned by domain, and any software vendor's site in or next to the category counts as a competitor's site. Naming is measured by text match on the answer.
