Case studiesAirmeet
Events software · First-partyAirmeet's AI citation share grew 5x
Airmeet runs AirPulse on its own marketing. On the same 52 buyer questions, its site went from 1.27% of ChatGPT and Perplexity citations in May 2026 to 6.66% in September, and the engines now cite 152 of its pages.
The challenge
Buyers of event software ask AI which platform to use for webinars and virtual events. In May 2026, when those answers cited sources, Airmeet's own pages were about one in eighty of them.
What we found
The play
- 1Track a fixed set of buyer questions every day, on every engine, so a change in the answer is visible within a week.
- 2Publish guides that answer those questions directly, with the product named in the answer text; guides now carry nine in ten of Airmeet's own citations.
- 3Measure share of citations rather than counts, so an engine returning more sources per answer does not look like growth.
- 4Read each engine on its own: the gain is on ChatGPT and Perplexity, measured the same way in both months.

How we measured
52 buyer prompts tracked in both months; ChatGPT and Perplexity. May 2026 (345 of 27,097 citations) vs September 2026 (5,594 of 83,973). Source: AirPulse production data, pulled 2026-09-29.
- First-party: Airmeet is AirPulse's parent company.
- Gemini and Google AI are left out because a 15 Jun 2026 pipeline fix changed how their answers and citations were captured for every brand.
- In August ChatGPT shifted citations toward company-owned pages across the brands AirPulse monitors (owned-page share 3.1% to 5.5% in a matched sample), which accounts for part of the ChatGPT rise.
- Perplexity began returning more citations per answer on 18 Sep 2026, which is why this study reports shares, not counts.
